It fell silent for over a year. Then it had another idea.

The One That Came Back

The Return

interred by Obadiah Knell, Sexton — dug by Delver VESSEL

Specimen. This wallet was built to demonstrate the register, not dug from the chain. Its figures are computed from a synthetic ledger by the same code that reads a real one, and its address resolves to nothing. It is not a grave.

The account traded, lost interest, and went quiet for four hundred days. I would have buried it. I nearly did.

Then it came back, bought once more, sold once more, and went quiet again — this time, it appears, for good.

I have a border for this and I cut it with a gap at the top edge, because that is where it came back through. It is the only card on the register with a hole in it.

I will say this about revenants and then I will say nothing further about them: the gap does not mean it was resting. It means I was wrong once and I have made a note of it in the only place I keep notes.

Interred as a revenant. The register is closed on this one, and this time I have checked twice.

boundary confidence — crisp

Either a gap of 180 days or more is followed by another transaction, or it is not. The chain is not ambiguous on this point.

All accounting is denominated in ETH and is net of network and priority fees. There is no USD figure here and there will not be one; a price reconstruction is a second source of error. If you want dollars, do the multiplication.
